Scouting Summer Camps 2012

BCY Summer Camps 2012
Camp Wolf Howl
This is a camp for girls and boys ages 8 to 12.  Come and join the outdoors.....trail hikes, archery, canoeing, shelter building, crafts, games, zip lines, high ropes challenge, campfires and lots more.
 
Where: Camp Byng, Sunshine Coast (check-in/out is at the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal in West Vancouver)
When:   Week 1: July 22 -July 28, 2012
Week 2: July 29 - August 4, 2012
Week 3: August 5 - August 11, 2012
 
All inclusive $385 per week or $345 per week Early Bird by June 15, 2012 (see website for additional discounts)

Camp Logjam
This is a camp for girls and boys ages 5-7. This year's Theme is "High Seas Adventure". Come join the fun....hikes, crafts, games, stories, costumes, campfires, scavenger hunts and lots more.
 
When: Monday, August 13 to Sunday, August 19, 2012.
Where: Camp Capilano in North Vancouver
 
Starting at           $200 for 3 days or $185 Early Bird by June 15, 2012
                              $370 for 7 day Package or $340 Early Bird by June 15, 2012

ADVANCED Wilderness Adventure
This camp is specially tailored to the adventurous youth that want more of a challenge and adventure - to learn the skills Survivor Man uses! All necessary outdoor skills and the "ins & outs" of trip planning are put into ACTION with the overnight wilderness camp experience

Wilderness FUN – Camp Boyle
The campers will learn many outdoor skills for example; fire lighting; shelter building; outdoor cooking; archery; orienteering; trip planning & hiking; forest lore and traditions; local eco systems and their many animals and plants; and leadership skills and development. There will be many games, crafts, campfires with songs & skits, and night time games!

Camp Tweedsmuir Wilderness Fun

NEW!! ages 12-14 only. Our ADVANCED camp is for youth with outdoor experience that are looking for more challenge and know-how. This camp will build on basic camping and survival skills and further develop leadership skills. A two day trek (one night sleep-out) is the highlight of this thrilling camp experience.

Camp Barnard
These camps are run by paid staff who travel throughout the province offering Summer Camp experiences. Their focus is on the cool science behind what we do in Scouting. Youth do not have to be members to participate.

Vancouver Island Summer Scout Camp
7 days of fun and adventure, swimming, canoeing, hiking, overnight camp, pioneering, archery, crafts, searching for the caves, making rope. Lots of fun meet new friends, learn new skills.
 
Fully staffed with qualified people, first aid staff on site at all times. Safety and health of scouts is of primary concern. Meals and all activities are included in the fee. Some financial assistance is available if needed.
Where:                 Woodlands Camp on Lake Cowichan
When:                  July 28 – August 4, 2012
Cost:                     $165.00 all inclusive
Qualification:     Must be 11 years old and an invested Scout

WashJam 2012
August 16-19, 2012 – Join Base Lewis-McChord
At the third Washington State Jamboree, over 6,000 Cubs, Scouts, and Venturers will experience camping with Scouts from all over Washington, Oregon, Idaho and British Columbia
 
Event Schedule
• Arrive Thursday afternoon after 3:00 PM August 16
• Program begins 8:00 AM Friday morning, August 17 and continues through Sunday.
• Arena Shows on Friday and Saturday nights, with a fireworks show on Saturday.
 
Lots of exciting activities are in store, in six different themed areas, plus Cub World, a Pirate's Realm!
Event pricing starts at $35.00 for weekend passes, $20.00 for Cub Scout day passes.

Camp Heatstroke

You've probably heard of Rovent and Skeeter. Well, this amazing team would like to bring you Camp Heatstroke!
 
It's a new social camp being held in the Okanagan at Camp Dunlop this August from the 3-5. It promises to be a warm, super fun camp; bonus, there is a beach too!
