Neck Point Scouting Group Calendar

Event Date:

The cubs will be geocaching and earning a specialty badge.  Drop off and pick up your youth at neck Point park at the usual times.

We will be covering the Promise, Law and Motto, the history of scouting, what ios a Court of Honour and troop rules

Event Date:

Fall camp menu planning.  Fall camp kit discussion including the use of stoves and laterns.

Event Date:

1 night camp at Nanaimo Lakes. Depart Brooks Landing at 8.30am on Saturday and a return scheduled for 5pm on Unday.  We will be canoeing on Nanaimo Lakes over the weekend.  More details will follow.

The beavers who are moving up to Cubs are joining the cub meeting at Frank J Ney school Gym at 18.45 on 17 April.  This will be an exciting meeting and the opportunity for the beavers to meet the cubs they will be spending time with next year.  Activities planned include Jungle Book stories, masks and knot tying.

The beavers, cubs and scouts will all be meeting at Camp Caillet at 6.30pm for the group swim up meeting.  Beavers, cubs and scouts are asked to bring a mug for mug-up and cookies or fruit to share with the other youth.  The meeting starts at 6.30pm at Camp Caillet.

The meeting will be held at the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre for the youth to go swimming. The cost for each youth will be $2.00 which will cover part of the admission cost. Please send your youth with a towel and bathing suit/trunks in a bag. Swimming goggles and swimming caps are not manadory but are welcome. For the youth to get the most out of theit swimming time it would be beneficial for them to already be in their swimmin gear underneath their uniform if possible. Any questions please drop me an email. Drop off time will be 6.30pm and pick up 8.15pm at the aquatic centre.
 
Early registration is here! If you are planning on registering your youth for the next Scouting year please come and see me on Tuesday to get a registration form for your youth. If you register before June 15th the price will be $150. If you register after this time you will be required to pay $175. There is no flexiblility with this cut off date for registration.
 
One last note, for those youth who still have canoe raffle tickets, money from sales must be brought to tomorrow's meeting. Any unsold tickets must also be handed in. We will be organizing a public event to sell the remaining tickets, details to follow.
